Extraordinary Self-Esteem

During ALL of my interactions with clients interested in therapy and reviewing their goals, there seems to be a common theme: Low Self Esteem.

As a therapist who has seen the impact of generational trauma, substance use, unhealthy family dynamics, & overall declining mental health; they all impact our self esteem and how we carry on in life.

If you are an individual who embraces their character (strengths & weaknesses), communicates their feelings, understands their boundaries, and sets realistic standards/expectations fro yourself & others, then you will have fulfilling relationships. It is when individuals have declining self esteem is when relationships begin to fall apart.

Answer The Following Quiz

1) When you look in the mirror, do you like what you see?

2) When making decisions/choices, do you ask for second opinions; or are you hesitant constantly?

3) Do you avoid leading conversations during social scenarios (personal or professional)?

4) Do you drink alcohol or smoke before or during social interactions?

5) Do feel that you deserve love and compassion?

6) Can you speak up for yourself when you feel uncomfortable, attacked, or disrespected without becoming defensive?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, you may experience shifts in your self esteem levels, which is NORMAL. As humans, we constantly are navigating what is and isn't appropriate during social scenarios, especially in the world of media presence.

In today’s media-driven world, social interactions can be a significant source of stress and self-doubt. Remember, it's okay to take a step back and reassess your comfort levels.

Self-esteem is a journey, not a destination. It's normal to have ups and downs. By practicing self-compassion, setting realistic goals, and seeking support when needed, you can build a stronger, more positive self-image.

You deserve to feel confident and respected in all settings, just like Meredith.

Sincerely, JoJo
